Preparing For YOUNG MARINESis a challenging task, but the change will last a lifetime.
Recruit training is the first step in becoming a Young Marine. During your 13 weeks of recruit training, you will learn what it means to be a Young Marine, develop confidence in your abilities and gain the self-discipline to push yourself to achieve more that you thought you could. Recruits receive training in our core values, individual field skills, close order drill, physical training, first aid, leadership training, and more. Your training may be taught to you by a variety of persons including Young Marines, YM Alumni, or Adult Volunteers of various professional backgrounds. Regardless, it is always conducted under the supervision of an Adult Volunteer. We don’t teach military tactics or warfare skills. We do promise to instill confidence in yourself and teach you how to lead using the best leadership model there is! We’ll also teach you how to be part of a team - because you can’t lead without first, learning how to follow. Do you have what it takes to be a Young Marine?
